Tasting notes
From the stellar 2018 vintage, Goodworth’s inaugural English sparkling wine exudes fresh notes of grapefruit, green apple and pear on the nose interlaced with subtle hints of blossom and sourdough.
The palate is crisp and focused, with a linear acidity balancing well with a lemon pith intensity and saline, chalky mouthfeel.
Enjoy as an aperitif or paired with lightly flavoured dishes so as not to overpower the wine’s delicate profile. Smoked trout and watercress, or soft creamy cheeses, will compliment acidity and enhance fruit definition.
